Sprouts Program

0 - 3 years

The Sprouts Program started in 2020 with the intention of establishing a culture of ECD (Early Childhood Development) at home. The focus of this program is to ensure the healthy milestone development of young children through the equipment and empowerment of their parents and caregivers.

Parents and caregivers come together on a weekly basis where they are shown how to do a variety of age appropriate developmental activities with their child, while being taught on the importance and purpose of every activity. They are then encouraged to repeat these activities at home during the week with a worksheet showing images of every activity together with a tickbox to mark as they do them. Parents are encouraged to share their experiences and learn from one another as they also partake in a parent-support group called 'Womandla' .

All beneficiaries receive a well-balanced and nutritional meal as we hope to enhance healthy physical development. An exercise group was also formed by the Sprouts beneficiaries where they come together weekly to follow an easy workout program. This also establishes a healthy and positive community.
